The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) was adopted by the South African government as a key driver of job creation and skills transfer. Emanating from this, all public bodies are required to enhance the labour intensity of projects executed using public funds.
The project entailed providing technical support to client bodies, engineers and contractors implementing infrastructure projects.
