Project Detail
Mariswe has undertaken several projects spanning more than 10 years at CTIA. Work included rehabilitation and resurfacing of taxiways and runways; widening of runways to accommodate large aircraft; replacing electrical services and lighting; rehabilitation of concrete aprons; aircraft parking bays and ground support equipment parking; realignment of service roads and intersections; and redesign of passenger bus parking areas.
Much of the construction work had to be carried out overnight and strict limitations were imposed to ensure aircraft and passenger safety throughout these projects.
Accurate planning, hands-on management and continuous communication between all stakeholders were key throughout.
