APPOINTMENT OF LEAD ENGINEER: BRIDGES AND TRANSPORTATION STRUCTURES

We are pleased to welcome Mr Kyle Llewllen Raman Pr Eng, MSc. Eng as the Lead Engineer: Bridges and Transportation Structures with effect from 01 September 2024. Kyle will be based in our Bryanston office.

With a solid foundation in Structural Engineering with a Pr. Eng and a decade of practical experience both in the public and private sector, Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Mariswe. His proven track record in bridge engineering, structural analysis, and design combined with his strong project management skills, will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the growth and success of our bridge portfolio.

His key experience includes:

Structural analysis, design and detailing of bridge and transport infrastructure (Prestressed, reinforced concrete, structural steel), culverts, retaining walls, stormwater drainage structures, and piled/ footing foundations using Midas/Sofistik/Revit and AutoCAD.
Project management over the full engineering cycle (Initiation, concept, to construction close out).
Bridge, culvert and structure inspections based on TMH19 criteria.
Concrete materials, mix design using sustainable alternative materials.
Geometric design of rural and urban roads (alignments, cross drainage, design safety aspects).
Hydrology and hydraulics for bridge, culvert and stormwater drainage sizing.
Mentoring and training of structural candidate engineers.
Construction contractual documentation and site administration using GCC, FIDIC AND NEC.
Government procurement and infrastructure management processes (PPPFA/ FIDPM).
COTO certified Bridge Inspector.
