Celebrating Achievement at Fundisa Special School Assistant Chef Graduation Ceremony

On September 26th, Mariswe proudly attended the Assistant Chef graduation ceremony at Fundisa Special School – an inspiring event celebrating the hard work and determination of learners with physical disabilities. As one of the school’s valued donors, Mariswe was honoured to be recognised for its continued support.

The ceremony was attended by around 100 guests, including dignitaries from the Department of Education, representatives from SADTU, and teachers from other special schools in the King William’s Town area. The atmosphere was filled with pride, joy, and a shared sense of purpose in empowering young people with the skills and confidence to thrive.

Representing MarisweSiphokazi Mhlobo had the opportunity to address the audience, highlighting our involvement in community development through support of special schools. Many teachers expressed interest in joining our CSI Initiative, and it was wonderful to share how our program works in supporting schools and learners. We also learned more about the challenges and achievements of other special schools in the region – which inspires us to continue expanding our impact.

The event was a reminder of how meaningful partnerships can help build opportunities and change lives. Mariswe remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote education, inclusion, skills development and community upliftment.
